Why Redesign the Carousell App?
I decided to embrace minimalism and realized I had accumulated too many possessions. That's when I installed Carousell on my iPhone. However, I found the app experience lacking and felt the need to redesign it to better suit my needs.
Flows to Improve:
The project was inspired by my personal experience as a first-time user on the seller side. I identified two specific flows where I encountered challenges:

Onboarding and Sign-Up: Enhancing the process of creating a new account and getting started on the platform.

Listing a Product as a Seller and Editing: Streamlining the process of creating product listings and making subsequent edits.
Objectives of the Redesign:

Eliminate Confusion and Address Pain Points: The aim is to remove any confusing or frustrating moments that users may encounter while using the app.

Improve Ease of Use: Enhancing the overall user experience by making the app more intuitive and user-friendly.

Prompt Important Actions: Encouraging users to take key actions that align with the business goals of Carousell.

By focusing on these objectives, the redesigned app aims to provide a more seamless and enjoyable experience for users, while also driving the desired business outcomes for Carousell.

Usability Testing 01
For the usability testing, I developed a Lo-Fi UI mockup of my proposed solutions using Sketch and created a clickable prototype using InVision. The prototype was tested with 6 new interviewees, and each session took approximately 20 minutes to complete, involving 6 specific tasks.

Scenario: In this scenario, you assume the role of Emily, who wants to sell a pair of sunglasses. You have heard about an app called Carousell from a friend, which offers a hassle-free way to sell items. Motivated by this recommendation, you decided to give Carousell a try.
Usability Testing 02
Following the initial usability testing, I identified several issues and gathered new ideas for improvement. Based on these findings, I made revisions to the prototype.

To validate the changes and gather further feedback, I conducted usability testing with 4 additional interviewees.
